American Music
A champion for diversity in music, Nicholas Hatt has developed a niche repertoire in American classical music. His doctoral treatise entitled "A Portrait of Diversity: Exploring Underrepresented Violin Literature of the United States from 1893-1916" highlights the violin works of four American composers - Leo Oehmler, Clara Kathleen Rogers, Rubin Goldmark, and Harry Thacker Burleigh. His treatise sparked a life long goal to promote more diversity in repertoire selection and in American music itself. It can be read here: https://fsu.digital.flvc.org/islandora/object/fsu%3A653435
